Autojack Polishing
A Porsche 911 Targa, a Jaguar F Type, and a Tesla. We have tested our polishers on the cars we really wouldn’t like to mess up. Why would we want to mess up a detail on your cars?
If our polishers can handle the big boys, they can handle any. See below how we took advantage of a sunny day here at Autojack, there’s nothing better than natural light to spot those small details. No surprise it rained shortly after, so some of the work was continued inside…😞

Why Choose Autojack?
Features
Our Rotary and Dual polishers come prepped with LED Digital Display, a side or D handle choice, and various speeds to choose from. Each comes complete with a long 5-metre power cord for flexibility around cars.
Dual Action & Rotary
Dual action and Rotary polishers are designed for different types of dealing jobs. While a dual-action polisher not only rotates, but oscillates. Detailers often use these types of polishers for smaller detailing jobs and just general detailing of cars all over. They orbit in this way also to evenly distribute the heat and friction that is created, making them less likely to burn the paint or damage.
Comparison
Compared to other cheaper models on the market, such as the TikTok famous, our electric powered polisher comes with endless power, with speeds up to 1700RPM. Many cordless polishers now come with only a 30 minute usage time, with a 4-5 hour charging time. Not only does this waste time, but in the long run consumes more electric. They also only come with one direction, which is not always the best when it comes to polishing and detailing.

Top 5 Autojack Top Polishing Tips
Speed
Don’t scrub. When starting off, apply only light pressure on a slow to medium speed. 2-3cm per second movement is fine to let the polisher do the rest of the work. Suitable for both our rotary and dual-action polishers.
Technique
Up and Down, Back and Forth, or Circular? Centre the pad perfectly on the backing pad. The easiest way to test this is by spinning the pad by hand, if it wobbles too much it is not centre. If using a dual polisher, there are a few common techniques that both amateurs and professionals use, but there is no set technique. Once you’ve begun to polish, continue until the substance is almost transparent. Whether Dual or Rotary, it’s useful to feather off the surface with the pad rather than just taking it off instantly.
Equipment
Inspection. This is the most important part of beginning to prep for your polishing. Inspect where the detail needs correcting using an inspection lamp that act as a strong sunlight beam to get the full view of what needs to be done. Masking tape is a must in polishing to mark up the spot and not spread it where its not needed. Microfibre cloths and/or pads are also useful to see progress.
Product
Find the right Product. Depending on the type of detail you are doing, there are different products you can use. Here at Autojack we like to use Meguiars products with our polishers. Polishing or restoring compound may be needed, refining compound, or heavy-cut compound etc. Finding the right product for the job is a must.
Aftercare
Protection after Correction. After all the work and hours spent on detailing the car, you don’t want anything from the outside environment ruining or dulling the shine. This can happen very quickly if not correctly protected. Ceramic coating or a wax based coating is fine to keep the shine.
